- In February 2002, KESM entered into a licensing agreement with Catuity for their CAT-X Loyalty Platform
- CAT-X was the same platform used by Target and VISA to support Target’s smart card based loyalty program
- In 2004 Target canceled the smart card based program – striking a large blow to Catuity
- In 2006 KESM entered into an acquisition agreement with Catuity for the CAT-X software
- In 2006 KESM’s LoyalMark brand was unveiled
